I am Colleen Kiley, a preppy petite, registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator. I was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. My passion for nutrition started at an early age. I enjoyed eating fruits and vegetables as a kid and was always involved in sports. I saw my family members compromise their health, and when I learned the connection between diet and exercise, I knew that nutrition was the career path for me.
I attended the University of Maryland for my bachelor's degree in dietetics. I went on to pursue my master's degree in human nutrition from the University of Delaware. I completed my dietetic internship with the University of Maryland and accepted my first position as a registered dietitian at Children's National Medical Center working in the weight management clinic. I continued my career in pediatrics by working at the University of Maryland Medical Center Diabetes and Endocrinology clinic. While I was there, I became a certified diabetes educator. I then switched to working with adults at Anne Arundel Medical Center Diabetes and Endocrine center.
Throughout my career, I am asked to help my family and friends with their own eating habits and to help manage their diabetes. I decided to provide services beyond my friends and family and start my private practice: Colleen Kiley Nutrition. My dream goal is to be able to create and implement a wellness program for the employees of one of my favorite clothing companies: Lilly Pulitzer or Vineyard Vines.
You can almost always find me wearing something from each of these companies. I love to wear bright colors and fun prints. My husband, Patrick, and our dog, Magnolia can also be found wearing these companies too! We are one preppy family that enjoys traveling, exercising, and cooking new, healthy recipes.

I can help you re-organize your pantry and kitchen. We will go over what staples to keep in the kitchen for quick healthy meals and how to best store your kitchen essentials. Being properly organized in your pantry and kitchen can actually help with meal planning to meet your healthy and on-the-go lifestyle.
